Words!

This is now one of my new favorite songs! I love this song for many reasons, but I would like to discuss a few of the main reasons why this song means so much to me.
I have spent my whole life either hating or loving words. People have given me compliments and have said nice things about me over the years, but no matter how many good things people say about me I can never forget the bad.
I have been criticized about faults I have for a long time and I can never get rid of those faults when people always remind me of them. I wonder how many other people have cried their eyes out after going to bed because of some of the things people have said to them. These words also hurt the most when spoken by family or friends, because those words are so personal that you will never forget them. No matter how much people try to change, they can never do it when people keep hurting them.
If you want someone to change you should tell them their faults with following encouragement. Never end a conversation with your last words pointing at them with a sword at their heart.
I can never forget the bad things people say about me, but I will always want to remember the words that make me smile! :D
Enjoy this song. I will also attach lyrics so you can really see the meaning.

"Words"

They've made me feel like a prisoner
They've made me feel set free
They've made me feel like a criminal
Made me feel like a king

They've lifted my heart
To places I'd never been
And they've dragged me down
Back to where I began

Words can build you up
Words can break you down
Start a fire in your heart or
Put it out

Let my words be life
Let my words be truth
I don't wanna say a word
Unless it points the world back to You

You can heal the heartache
Speak over the fear
(Speak over the fear)
God, Your voice is the only thing
We need to hear
(We need to hear)

Words can build us up
Words can break us down
Start a fire in our hearts or
Put it out

Let my words be life
Let my words be truth
I don't wanna say a word
Unless it points the world back to You
(Back to You)

Let the words I say
(Let the words I say)
Be the sound of Your grace
(Sound like Your grace)
I don't wanna say a word
Unless it points the world back to You

I wanna speak Your love
Not just another noise
Oh, I wanna be Your light
I wanna be Your voice

Let my words be life
Let my words be truth
I don't wanna say a word
Unless it points the world back to You
(Back to You)

Let the words I say
(Let the words I say)
Be the sound of Your grace
(Sound like Your grace)
I don't wanna say a word
Unless it points the world back to You
(Back to You)

Words can build us up
Words can break us down
Start a fire in our hearts
Or put it out

I don't wanna say a word
Unless it points the world back to You

People Never Mature

You know how people always say that no one ever truly matures and that everyone has a little bit of a kid insides of them? Well... They were right!
So in Utah, we have been getting some cold weather; the lowest temperatures have been around -11 degrees. So, it has been cold inside the house as well and no one can go anywhere without a jacket or a blanket wrapped around them. I went walking in the kitchen today and heard some noises coming from the washer and dryer. I was thinking to myself, "What is going on over there?"
So I walk over to the dryer and see a body, with a black jacket on, half way inside, head first. My first thought, "Oh my gosh! There's a burglar trying to steal my laundry!" But before I could open up a can of butt whopping KA- BAM on this sorry freak... My older sister takes her head out of the dryer and smiles. "It's warm in here," She says.

My sister is lucky that I waited a minute and saw it was her, other wise I would have gotten the pepper spray out!
And this is the girl who is going to be serving a mission soon! Ha, can't wait to turn her over to her poor, unsuspecting companions! They might not be as nice to her if they think she is a burglar!
We used to climb inside the dryer all the time when we were kids... Guess she never quite grew out of the habit.
Anyway, thought this would be fun to blog about! have a great day!

Kids: The Funny Things They Can do

Aren't kids just the best? Of course, I don't have kids, but I have lived with five younger siblings, so I think I might know a thing or two. I know that kids can be the best at sometimes, while other times you don't know why they even exists. I have just been inspired to write about some funny things that I have seen kids do, after just being by some funny kids.
Now as I just mentioned, I have five younger siblings. I have seen a lot of funny things done by these kids and there friends over the year that I have lived. Kids like and hate some many different things, but not all kids hate or like the things you think they would...
I just went over to babysit for someone the other day and I came home with a couple funny stories. You see, these kids had to eat dinner before they could do anything that night; they were having spaghetti and meatballs. While I was salivating or the deliciously flesh food, these kids were complaining about their mother's dinner choice and demanded... wait for it... BROCCOLI???
I could not believe it, these kids wanted their veggies for dinner rather than the deluxe meal they had before them. I had to bargain with them, like most babysitters do, but not like most babysitters have to. I promised them that for every five noddles and meatball they ate, I have then give them one piece of broccoli. How ironic does this sound?
Now, I have little sisters, one is nine and the other is almost seven; yeah, the awkward ages. The reason I call those the awkward ages is because this is the time that most little girls start to think that they are "big girls". I can't count how many times I have walked into a room and my little sisters start talking about fashion and celebrities. Of course, their conversations are not quite grown up or mature. Their idea of fashion is taking anything that has flowers or Selena Gomez on it. They talk of celebrities consists mostly of the new songs sung by Justin Bieber. I sometimes try to educate them on the celebrities and fashion that is actually in at the moment, but they always look at me, roll their eyes, and say "whatever". It always gets complicated when your little sisters can't decide if you are cool or just old. They sometimes want to hang out with me just because it is cool to be hanging out with sixteen and seventeen year olds, but I mostly just get "whatever" from them.
The best thing about kids is having stories about them doing embarrassing things that they can never live down. I have so many stories about my younger and older siblings that I will always old against them. But what sucks is when they have stuff on you; like how you fell don in front of the whole congregation in church... but we wont get into that. :D
My favorite story about one of my little siblings is when little brother got brought home by the police.... Now I know what your thinking, but it wasn't like that. My family was working outside in the yard when my little brother, three years old at the time, decided that it would be fun to go get some candy at the gas station across the street. But what did not register in his mind was that the gas station was down the street... behind a cement wall that separated our neighborhood from the road that went onto the freeway. So my brother takes his little bike and starts riding down to the gas station when my family wasn't looking. Luckily for him, a police stopped to the side of the road when he saw him trying to cross to the other side of the road. Yeah, there was a lot of explaining to do that day.

Well anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading this. Keep watching for my weekly blog post, or more then weekly.

Homeschooling: The Truth Behind The Rumors!

I love having a blog! I can say what I want without getting in trouble for it... :D
So, I decided since I have not posted in a long time that I would do something fun. I am going to tell you all about my home school life...
That's right, I'm a nerdy little homeschooler! Now, I know what you're thinking, "This girl must be a freak!" Well, I am. Just get used to it, okay.

The cons of Homeschooling:
The worst part about homeschooling is that I am always the alien of the group. I mean, sometimes people think that because I am homeschooled I speak gibberish or I don't speak at all; I speak through my mind or something like that.

What people always ask me:
I hate it when I get the same questions asked to me by a thousand different people. Here are some of the usual questions: Have you ever been to a real school? Are you like really smart? Do you have any friends? How often do you leave your house?  Do you stay in your P.J's all day? How do you meet people if you are homeschooled? Is your family all musically inclined? How does prom work for you?
Yeah, people just don't understand homeschooling.

The real life of a homeschooler:
Most people think that I can get away with sleeping in till noon being at home all day... Wrong, I have to get up at 7:00 a.m to attend my LDS Seminary class. I do an online school, so I technically do have teachers, they just can't hate me because thee only time they see me is through online chat rooms. I do get grades and I do learn, it's not all play and no work. I actually attend part time online collage classes through Weber State University too, so I do work a lot for my grades. I do have friends, most of them I meet through church and home school groups. I did attend my local school for a year and I did not like it; I learned nothing. I am not saying that public school is bad, but people learn in many different ways and I don't learn well in class rooms.

Funny stories:
When I was in my Seminary class I had this one teacher who kept asking me questions about homeschooling. He told me that he thought it was great but he could not understand how we socialize. He said that he would homeschool with his kids if their was more of a social aspect to it. Me, being very sarcastic, just couldn't resisted this window of opportunity. "Yeah," I said, "it has definitively been a challenge being socially awkward my entire life. But I amaze myself everyday at how well I can speak." I started to stutter at this point and kept looking away as if I was having a hard time at keeping eye contact, "I... I always have a hard time... T..T..Time talking to people, and S..S.. Sometimes I cant look... A..At them..."
He never made another negative comment about homeschoolers in that class again. :D

Messing with the new homeschoolers:
I love it when my mom brings new homeschooling moms to me so that they can learn more about high school home school. I just smile at them and say, "Homeschooling is a great thing for teenager, I am totally focus on my school work now that I have totally separated myself from society." They always look at my mom with concern when I say this for some reasons. "She is just kidding," my mom will say. The moms will then look back to me with a smile. "Well," I continue, "I guess it is not all that bad. The pointing and staring stops after awhile, suicidal thoughts go down after a year, and my resentment toward my parents is almost gone now."
Yeah, people should really get to know me and my humor before they ask me serious questions like that. :D

I am actually very grateful to be homeschooled because I hardly have to worry about getting shot in school (R.I.P to all those dear children and teachers who died this last week). My parents don't have to worry about me getting involved with the wrong crowd, and I am happy. I think that me being homeschooled has helped me in more ways than I can count. It has helped my to be the person I am today. :D

My Voice Sings!

It seems that I am going to sing a song!
I decided that I wanted to share one of my most favorite songs with whoever reads my blog. So I made a video of me sing Payphone By Maroon 5. Now, I understand that this song has a few naughty words and so forth... So I changed up the song to fit my standers of music. Please leave feed back if you liked it, please don't comment if you didn't like it.

Happy Hunger Games!

Am I the only person who has not seen the Hunger Games yet?
Not seeing this movie is driving me insane! I would like to see it now, but like most people... I am broke! :)
I loved the Hunger Games books. They were totally awesome! Luckily for me I got a hold of these books about a year before I knew they were making a movie, so I did not have to wait my turn at the library along with ten million other people!
I heard that this movie stays faithful to the books, so that makes me pretty excited... Well that and the fact that Josh Hutcherson played Peeta! I don't know about anyone else, but I was team Peeta all the way! :D
Well I hope to see this totally awesome movie soon, and maybe there are other people reading this who feel the same way.
Happy Hunger Games, everyone, and may the odds be ever in your favor!

The Prisoner Of Cell 25

Here is a video explaining a little bit about this book by Richard Raul Evens! I have not read it yet, but I hear that they did a test on this book with a school and they said that about 90% of the kids who read it said that they absolutely loved this book! 7% said they liked it but didn't love it, 2% said that they didn't like the book. This was out of... I think 500 kids plus teachers. I am excited to read this book, I am currently on hold at the library for it! Hope you enjoy the book trailer!
Glenn Beck even suggested this book to his viewers, so if you like Glenn Beck then you will most likely love this book!

I hope that many people will buy tickets to go see Happy Potter in Sandy, Utah.

New Book Cover

Brandon Mull just released his new book cover for the second book in his Beyonders series. This new cover is amazing! It made me so excited to read the book. I am still reading the first book, but I am trying to finish it up, it is really good.
For those of you who have not read the first book of the Beyonders, I recommend that you find yourself a copy. For what I have been reading I can tell that this book it going to take it's reader to new exotic places. The Beyonders series is also the first published series of Brandon's that take you to another world, unlike his other books that have been told from our own world, which makes this book even better.
The Beyonders Seeds Of Rebellion will be out in stores March, 2012!

The Last Apprentice By Joseph Delaney

The newest book of the last apprentice series was just published this year (2011) If you have not read this series I would advise that you do read it as soon as possible. If you like books that keep you on your toes and make you jumpy, read this book. If you like books that have you scream "Don't go into the cellar!" on every chapter, read this book. If you like books that keep you guessing, read this book. If you like books that make you gasp every time a new secret is revealed, read this book.
I have not read the newest book yet, but I have enjoyed the last six books of the series that I have read. When I was reading the first book I was so into it for the first few chapters that I jumped out of my seat when I heard someone honk the car horn outside.
I can't wait to finish the seventh book and begin reading this book.
"The Last Apprentice: The Revenge Of The Fallen", is in stores now.

New Name

Hey, what does everyone think of my new blog name and background? I decided to change it because I was just thinking that "The Wall Of Dreams" was kind of a pathetic name, so I went with something that had a little more irony to it; I think that it would be kind of funny if I had a name like "The Fantasy Slayer", considering that my blog promotes fantasy instead of tearing it down. Let me know what you think about the new name, I would appreciate the feedback from my viewers!

Fablehaven Movie Updates

Recently in April, Brandon Mull did a live video to answer questions from fans. He answered a lot of questions concerning his new Byonders book, but he also told us some other things about the Fablehaven series, including the rumored movie.
Brandon Mull said that as of the moment the rumors are half true; some people have optioned the movie by trying to get started but never really following through. As of right now Fablehaven is not being made into a movie, you can say that it is still in a long development. Brandon is really just waiting to see what happens in the hopes that the movie will get started again and actually be finished.
Here is the link to watch the video of Brandon Mull answering fan questions.

The Second Chapter Of My Book

I thought that it was about time that I posted more of my book, Alazon, so I hope you all enjoy this.
Here is part one of the second chapter.

Chapter two
The man at the party
Ann was walking into Towns Ice cream shop when she heard someone calling her name. “Hey, Ann, wait up!”
Ann turned around to see Kylee running toward her. Kylee was a thirteen year old girl with short blond hair, she had Creamy skin and bright blue eyes and she was wearing black clothes, Not that she was Goth, but the only reason she would wear dark clothes was because everyone always said that her personality was too bright and perky. So she wore black to help tone down her rays of sun shine.
Kylee had been one of Ann’s best friends back when they were in seventh grade. They used to do everything together, like shopping, swimming and calling up Kylee’s mean, next door neighbors and telling them that they saw their cat on fire. Oh yes, those were wonderful memories. But they had not done any of that lately. With Ann going to high school everything just seemed to change.
“Hey, Ann,” said Kylee when she reach her, “I haven’t seen you sense last Halloween, it’s been too long.”
“Well, I guess that’s high school for you.” Ann said as they walked into the Ice cream shop and sat down at a nearby table.
“Oh yeah, you’re in high school now, how’s that going for you?”
Kylee stopped talking when she saw Ann’s face. “Oh, that bad?” she asked.
“Worse.”
A woman came up to their table. She was wearing a T- shirt that read: Towns Ice cream, the best Ice cream in town.
“What kind of Ice cream would you young ladies like?” asked the woman.
“Peanut Butter chunky,” Said Kylee. She always ordered Peanut butter chunky, but Ann liked to pick a different flavor every time she came to ‘Towns Ice Cream’.
After looking at the flavor board, Ann finely said “Cake batter, please.”
“Right away,” said the woman as she left.
“Well, high school can’t be all that bad” Said Kylee.
“What are you talking about?” said Ann, “it’s worse than bad. I mean, look at my face!”
Kylee leaned in and look at Ann, “I don’t see any- wait, you’re wearing make-up. You never wear make-up!”
“Yeah, I’ve been wearing a lot of it lately. I need it to hide the bruises.” Ann said leaning back in her seat.
“Bruises,” Kylee asked.
Ann told Kylee about her encounter with Bones and the rest of her delinquent gang, Making sure not to leave out any details. She had been keeping it all a secret for five days, now, and it felt good to tell someone about it.
“Oh my gosh, Your saying she just beat you up and left you there to suffer!” Kylee said, with astonishment in her voice.
“Yes, it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had, and it is something I don’t want to encounter again.”
“If you don’t want it to happen, why don’t you tell the principal or somebody?” Kylee asked.
Ann laughed, “I did tell him about it, and you want to know what his response was?”
“What?”
Ann lowered her voice and made it sound like her school’s principal, “He said, and I quote, ‘I’m sorry to hear about your predicament, but I am afraid that there is nothing I can do about. Kids will be Kids. If you don’t want them to bother you, then I suggest that you don’t make yourself such an easy target!’ end of quote.”
“He really said that?” Kylee asked in disbelief.
“I quoted him, didn’t I?”
“I can’t believe that!”
“I couldn't either.”
Kylee looked around the room, as if she were trying to look for someone to blame, “What about your mom?”
“What about her?” Ann asked
“Well, what’s she think about all this?” Kylee stared at her, waiting for an answer.
Ann sighed, “I don’t tell her anything about this kind of stuff.”
“Why?”
“Because,” Ann said, wishing that the subject did not land on Sue, “She’s just got enough on her mind right now... I don’t want to stress her out.”
“But you should tell her, she could press charges for something like this. I mean, her kid is getting beat up by someone twice her size, and the principal refuses to do anything about it!”
“No, Kylee just forget it. Let’s talk about something else; I don’t want to talk about this anymore.”
Kylee looked like she wanted to say something, but she held it back when she saw the seriousness in Ann’s eyes.
The woman came back with their ice creams. “Here you are, said the woman handing them each an Ice cream cone full of Ice cream, “one peanut butter chunk and one cake batter.”
“Thank you” said Ann and Kylee together as the woman left to the next table.
Ann licked her Ice cream; it was a very interesting flavor.
Ann and Kylee sat in silence for a while, just eating their Ice creams; till Kylee broke it.
“You know, I’ll be in high school next year, we can probably make it through your last year together,” said Kylee.
Ann smiled, “thanks, Kylee. But I don’t think that really solves my problem.”
Kylee looked down at the table. She looked as if she was in deep thought. A moment later she looked up and smiled, “you know what,” she said, “I think I might know something that will cheer you up.”
“And that is…”
“You need a night out. I think that high school has been putting too much stress on you.”
Ann had to laugh at that, “I see you have finely caught on to that.”
“I’m serious, though!” said Kylee, “as a matter of fact, I just remembered that May told me to invite you to her party tonight, you can take off some of your stress there.”
“Tonight,” Exclaimed Ann, “why didn’t you tell me about this sooner?”
Kylee finished off her Ice cream cone, “I really did try to get a hold of you sooner, but it’s nearly impossible to talk to you anymore!”
Ann shrugged, “I guess you’re right, I should just be glad you even got to talk to me about it today, I just got to much going on to talk anymore.”
“That’s exactly why you need to go to this party,” said Kylee.
“Your right” said Ann.
“OK, so you’re going, right?” asked Kylee.
“Don’t worry,” said Ann, “I’ll be there.”

My Thoughts On "The Lord Of The Flies"

In school I was asked the make a blog post about my feelings on a specific topic in the novel "The Lord Of The Flies". I hope you all like my thoughts on this book.

In the novel The Lord Of The Flies, written by William Golding, we read many things about how a group of boys become stranded on an island that they find is uninhabited by humans. We read about how the boys try to work together on the island by voting for a leader, making shelter, and sending out signals by fire in the hopes that they may be rescued. But it is not too long before we start to see an unresolved conflict among the boys that is difficult to solve, that conflict being the beginning of the loss of their civilized humanity.
As we read, sometimes it is not quite clear why these boys start to fall into savageness or what was the turning point from their civilized lives to their current feral state. But as I have read this book I have come across a chapter in the book that explains what was the turning point in these boys lives that started to make them so untamed; this part in the book being when Jack and his hunters killed a maternal sow (Mother pig), and offered it's head as a sacrifice to the beast that they believe to be on the island.
“This head is for the beast. It’s a gift.” Jack says after he has killed the sow. Those are the words that seem to sting me the most. This statement clearly explains what is happening to the boys; this is the first sign of their devolution. Devolution is the opposite of evolution, meaning that instead of the human mind becoming more advanced and modernized they are becoming less then men; they are becoming animals. They are actually taking the action of killing a mother pig and offering her up as a sacrifice for a beast that does not even exist, this shows us how cruel and animal like the boys are becoming and how they are diverting further and further from humanity.

Chipmunk Fever!

I love this song, especially in chipmunk version! It just makes it sound ever better!
